Because I can't sleep very well at night. I post a lot of things here, mainly just nonsense and random things about my life that no one ever really needs to know.
highkingpetermagnificent asked: yeah, seriously! I don't know, I've never really called people "honey" or "darling" or anything like that... sometimes "sweetling" when they're upset or I'm trying to comfort them or something like that. (Out of curiosity, what's Keiliy's pet name? XD)
Actually, it’s funny, a few days ago Mike and I were talking about affectionate names and he actually sort of has one for me (he changed it like midway when he found out what my middle name was, it’s kind of adorable) and I was like “I wish I had something special to call you but I don’t o.e” XD I used to be big on pet names in middle school but now I’m more reserved with them because YAY EXPERIENCES MAKE YOU STINGY WHEN IT COMES TO AFFECTION AND I’M NOT SURE WHY
(VlogBrothers videos make me kind of hyper okay bear with me XD)
I call Keiliy various things, and even then it’s not as much as with you XD I called her “missy” and “lady” last night for some reason but I don’t know if that counts as it was sort of an interesting night XD

Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, the act of holding hands is often trivialised in its true implications. As the Beatles once said: ”I want to hold your hand”.
And as my prof American Literature says, “fingers are phallic symbols.”
